2026's Best Games

You don’t need me to tell you what an absolute smash Fortnite has become. Young and old, serious or casual, whatever your gaming style or needs, chances are Fortnite has drawn you in. Much of the reason for that is the constantly shifting goalposts as updates, new features and further opportunities arise. Much like what is happening now with the arrival of Fortnite Chapter 2 – Season 4 then – as Marvel Heroes and Villains join in the fun.

Available right now, Fortnite Chapter 2 – Season 4 is the next step in the push for ever-increasing Fortnite greatness. With it we see the Nexus War take hold, as a threat to Reality itself looms over the Island. Yep, from today you’ll be able to drop into the new Season and join forces with the Lore and Legends of Marvel against Galactus — Devourer of Worlds.

Chapter 2 – Season 4 sees the worlds of Fortnite and Marvel collide as powerful new abilities come to all players. Now at your beck and call, during battle, you’ll be able to adopt super-powers like Doctor Doom’s Arcane Gauntlets, Groot’s Bramble Shield, Silver Surfer’s Board, and more arriving later in the Season.

In addition to these new super-powers, you’ll also be able to take action with the Stark Industries Energy Rifle, a distinct weapon from Stark Labs that has a different benefit depending on how you aim. You’ll want to bring all the weapons and powers you have to hand with you too, as you go about exploring iconic locations both current and upcoming, such as Doom’s Domain, Sentinel Graveyard, and more.

It wouldn’t be Fortnite without the addition of a Battle Pass, and with the new Season comes the Chapter 2 – Season 4 Battle Pass. This provides access to no less than 100 unlockable rewards and a collection of outfits from Marvel Heroes and Villains: Thor, Iron Man, Storm, Doctor Doom, She-Hulk, Mystique, Groot, and Wolverine. And should you take on the task within, completing each Legend’s special quest, then you’ll summon their awakening, a built-in Emote that reveals the Hero or Villain within.

So, Fortnite – you in? Has the Marvel angle swung it even more? Will you be making do with the more serious PUBG, Call of Duty Warzone or the uber futuristic Hyper Scape for your battle royale needs? Let us know in the comments.
