From Tower Defense to Team Shooters
We’ve been battling the zombie horde in various forms for years. Back in 2014, we explored the series’ shift to a team shooter with Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare. In our 3/5 review, we called it a “unique hilarious shooter” but noted a “poor showing in variety of game modes.“
By 2016, with Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2, we saw “significant improvement,” praising its “healthy amount of gameplay options” and the addition of the “very nice” Backyard Battleground.
