We’re not really sure what the draw is, but psychological horrors just seem to draw in the crowds. And that is what SOEDESCO and Red Martyr Entertainment are hoping will happen as they partner up to launch Saint Kotar to PC and console very soon.
A story driven point and clicker, Saint Kotar is the debut game to come out of Red Martyr Entertainment, but with the SOEDESCO team behind them (they previously behind the likes of Truck Driver), there should be a decent amount of enthusiasm being gathered.
It’s a game that will see you dropping into the roles of Benedek and Nikolay; two troubled godly men who go out to search for a missing woman in an ancient rural town plagued by macabre murders and strange phenomena, which are allegedly related to occult rituals of devil worship and witchcraft. From there expect to be drawn in by a branching storyline, multiple endings, hand-painted visuals and some fully voiced narration, as the psychological horror genre grips you once more.
Marko Tominić, Game Director and CEO at Red Martyr Entertainment has the following to say about the announcement: “We’re pleased to team up with SOEDESCO for the launch of our first title: Saint Kotar. We’ve been working on this game for two and a half years now and we feel confident that SOEDESCO is the perfect partner we needed to support the game’s growth into something special. Together we’ll work to launch the game on PC and consoles very soon.”
Whilst full platform and release date confirmation are still to be officially confirmed, the mention of ‘PC and Console’ and ‘Very soon’, alongside a tweet from the team behind it back in 2020 lead us to guess that Xbox, PlayStation and Switch players will possibly see action, with launch coming at some point in August.
When it does arrive, we’ll be sure to let you know, as it’ll be then where you get to take in the key features of Saint Kotar…
- Delve into a psychological horror point and click adventure
- Live the game’s branching stories and influence the game’s endingL
- Experience the dark world through its hand-painted graphics and fully voiced narration
- Alternate between two protagonists and affect both their stories and the fate of other characters with your actions
With a Kickstarter campaign allowing Saint Kotar to come to life, and now the power of SOEDESCO behind it, if you’re a horror fan and fancy getting involved, keep an eye out for what this brings.
