The puzzling Kattish launches on Xbox

It’s been a busy few months for the Weakfish Studios team, as they’ve slowly pushed out a number of their games to the Xbox Store. The latest is now with us – the puzzling Kattish.

Much like how Cyberpunk 2077 saw the spawning of many multiples of the cyberpunk genre, the release of Stray on PlayStation and PC in 2022 seemingly kicked on the love of cats. We’ve had tons of games focusing on those little kitty cats since then, with Kattish being the latest.

From the Weakfish Studios team (they previously behind the likes of Mechapunk and Pandaty), created by 909games, Kattish is a little 2D puzzle platformer in which the main star of the show is a little white cat. It’s up to you to help this kitty traverse the stages ahead of it, as quickly as possible.

Priced at £4.19 and running on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S (fully optimised for Series X|S), Kattish probably isn’t going to have enough about it to trouble the GOTY awards come the end of 2023, but it may just be able to waste a little bit of your time.

With fairly basic visuals and a simple premise, we’re guessing that the difficulty of Kattish will ramp up as we go. And the Xbox Store game blurb seems to point at that, warning that we’ll need to understand the mechanics in play in order to pass any level.

We’ll see how that goes as we run review of Kattish on Xbox. Stay tuned for our thoughts.

For now, hit up the Xbox Store and grab a download of Kattish if you are at all interested in this feline fun-bringer.

Game Description:

Kattish is 2D Puzzle-Platformer Game, Our main character is a very sweet cat, But she has to pass these levels quickly. Are you ready to pass the challenging levels with plain graphics? It’s not as easy as it looks. Each section has different mechanics from each other. You need to understand these mechanics and pass the level. You need to analyze the levels well.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
