Take a few deep breaths and get ready to not only learn the release date of The Signifier, but also dive deep into the human mind courtesy of a new gameplay walkthrough video for the upcoming tech-noir mystery. Are you ready?

The Signifier, from Raw Fury (West of Dead and Night Call) and Playmestudio, have revealed that their surreal first-person tech-noir mystery, which aims to blend investigation, experimental psychology, and artificial intelligence, is set for a PC launch – via Steam and other stores – on 15th October. The Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions are currently pencilled in for an early 2021 release.

When the vice president of the world’s largest tech company turns up dead in her home, it’s up to you to examine her death using advanced technology to interpret the mind and solve the mystery. In order to do so, you must step foot into the Dreamwalker, a deep brain scanner which recreates recorded senses in the virtual world, and venture into the memories of the deceased. That’s the fascinating premise of The Signifier.

Within the strange and unpredictable depths of the human consciousness, you will unravel a multi-layered narrative of power and intrigue that will leave you questioning everything. Prepare to move freely between three dimensions: reality, the objective and the subjective. Here you’ll be found exploring different events and environments in the search for clues, solving puzzles, and putting the pieces together to ultimately discover the truth.

Hopefully the brand new The Signifier gameplay walkthrough can offer an even better insight into what to expect, so make sure you give it a watch. Then feel free to tell us whether you like it, or not!
