Many decades have passed but now it’s finally time for the spiritual successor to one of the great football games ever to appear. Standby, as Sensible Soccer is going all sociable!
Jon Hare, godfather of videogames and creator of Sensible Software, has confirmed that he will be overseeing the design of Sociable Soccer. Bringing fast paced arcade style football to the modern day gamer, Sociable Soccer will release on Xbox One, PS4 and PC – hopefully in 2016.
With endless friendly matches, over 30 single player trophies to win, custom competitions for up to eight players, a full online multiplayer mode, personalised avatars and a ton of clan based online leagues, Sociable Soccer looks to be taking everything we knew and loved about Sensible Soccer, but hits it with a twist of social offerings and modern day gaming features. 500 National, Club and Custom teams with over 10000 researched player names will just be the icing on the cake!
The team behind it have previously been involved in the likes of Max Payne, Alan Wake and The Walking Dead: No Man’s Land, so odds are that Jon Hare and his team will be able to create us something pretty special.
‘A community of approximately 20 million fans worldwide have played the football games I have designed. I’m thrilled to return to the genre and look forward to delivering a football game which once again raises the bar.’ — Jon Hare
Sociable Soccer does however need your help. A Kickstarter project is now in full swing, with numerous tiers available for you to get involved in. Whether you spare just a few quid in order to support the project, drop anything from £12 to grab a copy of the game, or pile in £5000 in order to fly to Finland and meet Jon and the team, the choice is completely yours.
You can find the Sociable Soccer Kickstarter and further details right here. We’ll keep you updated as to it’s progress.
