It promises hardcore brutal melee combat, the chance to face off against deadly foes and huge bosses, and the opportunity to take those opponents apart, bit by bit. Yep, it’s The Surge 2 and today the release date has become known, just as the pre-order bonuses tempt us to part with some hard earned cash.Â
Following on from the original The Surge, Deck13 and Focus Home Interactive will be found launching the incredible follow-up to the hardcore sci-fi action-RPG come September 24th 2019, releasing on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
Set in a sprawling, devastated, Jericho City, after your plane has been shot down by a mysterious storm and crash-lands in the outskirts, The Surge 2 will see you wou wake up weeks later in a derelict detention facility inside the city. It is a city in which the soldiers enforce Martial Law, and robots are out on a rampage, all as an ever-expanding nanostorm looms over the cityscape.
It’ll be up to you to survive the city, fighting numerous, ferocious threats in the most brutal, most unforgiving combat. Slashing the limbs off your opponents to steal valuable equipment is the order of the day, and this will eventually make you strong enough to face the most fearsome, imposing foes lurking in the city.

The Surge 2 will come with a rich character progressions system, an expanded arsenal of weapons, armors, abilities, implants, and drones and more customisation than you can shack a severed arm at With a hugely ambitious world at the centre of everything, it could well be said that The Surge 2 on Xbox One, PS4 and PC will challenge you to not just survive, but to also unravel its hidden secrets.
If that sounds like something you wish to get involved in, perhaps having loved what came in the original The Surge, then those who preorder will receive the URBN Gear Pack DLC for free, which includes an armor set, two weapons, one drone, one module, and a bonus online message icon. The Standard Edition will set you back ÂŁ49.99.
The Surge 2 Limited Edition is also available for pre-order, and it is this which includes an exclusive lenticular cover, an 8-page comic book, a massive double-side poster and three lithographs.
