The utterly crazy Nippon Marathon smashes on to Xbox One

Nippon Marathon Xbox One

If you’re looking for something a little different to play this holiday season, then you should be looking no further than the utterly nuts Nippon Marathon.

Available right now on Xbox One, Nippon Marathon is a physics based multiplayer party racer that deals with a whole ton of the crazy.

Set in the land of the rising sun, Nippon Marathon is the work of two people – Andy and Amy Madin – as it tasks you with overcoming the most brutal of odds in order to become the winner of the Nippon Marathon. But this isn’t just your usual running race and in order to be crowned marathon champ, you’ll need to navigate your way over barrels, past monks, over monkeys and around shopping trolleys if you wish for success to come your way.

It’s all about winning in Nippon Marathon and with a whole host of crazy characters in play, how you go about doing that is totally up to you – just make sure you become one with the raucous ragdoll physics and crazyness of the local multiplayer game, and all will be good.

Nippon Marathon on Xbox One will cater for 4 local friends who wish to get one up on each other, however technically you will find that the game can suit 8 players across the Party Games modes that allow for pass-the-pad gameplay. Should you have no friends, then you are also well catered for with a solo story mode and the opportunity for you to drop some AI into the Versus mode when your friends aren’t available.

Obviously though it is the local multiplayer experience that Nippon Marathon is playing towards though and it should be here where the game excels. If you wish to know more, then you could do worse than check out our review in the days ahead. Chances are Nippon Marathon on Xbox One will be pretty good though, and it’s a game that has been on our radar since winning our Game of the Show title at the Play Expo event back in 2017.

If you can’t wait though, and are looking for a hectic local multiplayer party title for the holiday season, then the Xbox Store will deliver a download Nippon Marathon on Xbox One right now. Does the £11.99 price tag deserve it? Only you can answer that question. Just make sure you let us know in the thoughts below.
