The next chapter in the charming and addictive cat-hunting puzzle series has just arrived, and this time it’s taking us on a trip to the heart of Japan with Cats and Seek: Kyoto.

Cats and Seek: Kyoto, the third cozy adventure in the series, has launched on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. From developer Noobzilla and publisher Silesia Games, it is available right now for the super cheap price of just £2.49, with a PlayStation and Nintendo Switch release set to follow tomorrow on October 9th.

Prepare to play hide-and-seek with a host of adorable cats, now with brand-new creative tools to capture and colour your favourite scenes.

Our Verdict: A Satisfying Trip for Cat Hunters

We’ve already had the chance to take a trip to this beautiful new location. In our full 3/5 review of Cats and Seek: Kyoto, we concluded that while it’s short on content, it’s a worthwhile trip for fans of the series:

With the usual high standard of line drawings making up the two stages in Cats and Seek: Kyoto, if you’re at all familiar with the virtual cat hunting scene, and want to continue with what can easily become a bit of an addiction, then you should probably take a trip to Kyoto.

A Hide-and-Seek Game in the Heart of Kyoto

This is a cozy hidden-object experience at its purest. You will explore a charming, hand-drawn scene set in the heart of Kyoto and play a relaxing game of hide-and-seek with over 200 adorable cats. With soothing sounds, cute visuals, and a host of player-friendly options like free hints and adjustable colours, it’s the perfect way to chill out.

Cats and Seek: Kyoto introduces two brand-new creative tools to the series, perfect for capturing and personalizing your cat-finding adventure. There’s the Photo Mode which provides a new way to capture your favourite scenes, as well as a Paint Mode, providing opportunity to colour the beautiful hand-drawn art.
