Burn in Health
Burn in Health – out now on Xbox

Forget everything you know about climbing the corporate ladder. In the whimsical new action game Burn in Health, you won’t be impressing the boss with spreadsheets and synergy, but by literally throwing your own heart at enemies to collect water coolers!

Burn in Health is an utterly bizarre and action-packed game from developer Maria and the Phoenix Reborn Games team. And it has launched on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S for just £4.19.

Your New Job is… Extremely Different

Prepare for a game where you’ll battle by collecting water coolers for your boss at your strange new job, earning promotions along the way.

Welcome to the Daily Grind. In Burn in Health, you’ll step into a whimsical world and take on a new job. Your primary task? Keep the boss happy by collecting water coolers. It’s a simple objective, but the method is anything but.

This is an adrenaline-pumping, arcade-style experience set across diverse arenas filled with enemies and powerful bosses.

Heart-Pounding (and Throwing) Gameplay

The core mechanics of Burn in Health are as unique as its premise, blending intense action with strategic risk.

Your main method of attack and interaction is to throw your own heart. You’ll use this bizarre projectile to battle foes and, presumably, collect those all-important water coolers. This creates a deeply personal and immediate connection to the action on screen.

Adding a crucial layer of strategy, Burn in Health features a unique damage system where both your hero and your thrown heart can take damage. This means you’ll need to be tactical, deciding when to risk your heart for a daring play and when to recall it to safety. It’s a system that forces you to think differently about offense and defense.

Climbing the Corporate Ladder

Success is rewarded! As you complete your water-cooler-collecting duties and survive the dangerous arenas, you’ll earn promotions. Between each run, you have the option to purchase powerful upgrades, enhancing your abilities and preparing you for the even tougher enemies and bosses that await.

Choose Your Employment Package on Xbox

Burn in Health is available on the Xbox Store in two versions, both priced at £4.19:

Key Features

  • Unique “Throw Your Heart” Gameplay: Battle enemies and collect items by throwing your own heart as a projectile.
  • Dual Damage System: Both your hero and your heart can take damage, adding a strategic layer to combat.
  • Roguelite Progression: Purchase upgrades between runs to get stronger.
  • Diverse Arenas & Enemies: Fight through a variety of arenas against unique enemies and powerful bosses.
  • Quirky & Whimsical Premise: Earn promotions at your new job by collecting water coolers for your boss.

Are you Ready to Give This Job Your All (and Your Heart)?

Burn in Health promises a truly unique, whimsical, and action-packed experience that you won’t find anywhere else. If you’re looking for a new arcade challenge with a bizarre premise and a rewarding upgrade loop, it’s available right now on the Xbox Store for just £4.19.

Just try not to get your heart broken!

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
