2 years ago Street Outlaws burst out of the Discovery Channel and onto Xbox, PlayStation, Switch and PC to provide gamers with one of the worst racing titles of recent times in Street Outlaws: The List. There was a lot wrong with it – poor visuals, terrible audio and, most damning, it was hardly any fun. But 2 years is a long time in gaming terms so we hope that Team6 Game Studios and GameMill Entertainment have got things right with the launch of Street Outlaws 2: Winner Takes All.
Available to purchase and download this very minute, Street Outlaws 2: Winner Takes All is the follow up to the original Street Outlaws, giving gamers on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch and PC the chance to get behind the wheel once more, as they hope and pray that things work out better this time around.
It’s priced at £39.99 from the Xbox Store, or £44.99 for the Digital Deluxe Edition which brings a few additional cars and cosmetics, and ensures that the stakes have risen as you look to prove yourself in the hot and dirty street racing scene.
Powered by Unreal Engine, Street Outlaws 2: Winner Takes All will take you across the United States, competing in drag and street races forevermore. The reason? Why, it’ll be to earn a host of rep, tons of cash and ensure that you can be crowned the Winner Takes All National Champion.
With the usual customisation bits and bobs all present, the chance to compete in a host of unique races and to pull off a ton of stunts, Street Outlaws 2: Winner Takes All should really be something we’re massively looking forward to. But our first thoughts revolve totally around whether or not this is better than the game which came before it. Honestly, it probably cannot be much worse. The key features certainly make it a tempting proposition though, if only as there are some 60fps HDR lighted visuals in tow…
- 26 drag vehicles plus 5 challenge cars
- 36 unique locations for races and challenge events
- Over 250 parts for deep car customization including rims, parachutes, tires, window tints, tire smoke colors, as well as personal garage customization.
- Put up or shut up through the in-game race wager feature
- Featuring Ryan Martin, Big Chief, AZN, Lizzy, Farmtruck and many more from the Street Outlaws TV show
- Asynchronous multiplayer tournaments and leaderboards
- 60 Frames Per Second (FPS) and HDR lighting showcases true intensity of each race
We’ll be sure to get behind the wheel of Street Outlaws 2: Winner Takes All on Xbox in the days ahead and will deliver our verdict as and when. If you wish to check it out for yourself then the Xbox Store will cover the bases you need for the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S editions of the game.
You’ll also find Street Outlaws 2: Winner Takes All present and playable on PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch and PC.
