As if there weren’t already enough quests for you to get your teeth into in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, CD Projekt Red have confirmed the release date of the first expansion to the game. Get ready for Hearts of Stone!

Step again into the shoes of Geralt of Rivia, a professional monster slayer, this time hired to defeat a ruthless bandit captain, Olgierd von Everec, a man who possesses the power of immortality. The expansion lets you choose your own way through an adventure that includes recruiting a crew of break-in artists, spending a night partying with a ghost and outsmarting the most bizarre creatures Geralt has ever faced.

Arriving on October 13th 2015, the Hearts of Stone expansions brings another 10 hours of new adventures, characters, monsters, romance and storyline to The Witcher 3. Introducing a new system of Runewords that significantly affects gameplay, each of which will impact a different aspect of in-game mechanics and will allow the players to experiment with various strategies and tactics.

If the digital version isn’t to your liking, then you’ll be able to pick up a very special, limited boxed edition of Hearts of Stone exclusively at GAME. It’ll contain a digital download code for the expansion, two masterfully crafted physical decks of Gwent, the card game set in the world of The Witcher, and a detailed manual explaining the rules.

Alternatively, if you own the digital Expansion Pass, you’ll be able to purchase the cards separately. More info on that  at redeemgwent.com.
