When there are sixty players on the map, each with their own huge crossbows, muskets and katanas, you know you are playing one game, and one game only – Naraka: Bladepoint! And now, with the release of the Showdown: Chapter II, the co-op PvE side of this fantasy wonderland has grown even more.

Coming to Xbox Series X|S and PC today, Showdown: Chapter II is an expansion to the co-op campaign of Naraka: Bladepoint, offering up three new stages and brand new playable heroes to returning players and newbies alike. Whether you take on the Desert Tribulations, Immovable or epic Toppled Mountains stage in your trio, you can be sure that there will be tons of flashing lights and cool abilities as players zip around the screen, disposing of any enemy in their way.

As well as the previously playable heroes Kurumi, Tarka, Valda and Viper, you’ll now be able to assume control of the stealthy Matari, and the brutish Temulch, furthering the different ways you can hone your own playstyle to the action Naraka: Bladepoint has to offer.

Team compositions will also be enhanced with the introduction of Souljades – powerful, stat-augmenting relics that you can make use of to buff your characters to the max. Those of you familiar with the duels, brawls and sixty-player battle royale modes present in the base game will know all about the Souljades – you’ve been using them for ages now!

NetEase’s thrilling Naraka: Bladepoint is available on Xbox Series X|S and PC – if you wish to pick up the base game, with the release of Showdown: Chapter II today, then it’ll cost you just £17.99 – act fast, and you may pick up a hefty discount too. For Xbox, head over to the Xbox Store to pick up a copy now, or download it for free via Game Pass.

I'm an avid gamer who will play pretty much anything... but stick an open world or adventure game in front of me and I'm more than happy.
