When it comes to gaming conferences, the overall approach has had to drastically change during the current pandemic. Nevertheless, the much anticipated Gamescom 2020 went ahead in a new format and kicked off proceedings with a two-hour live stream full of games, before following up with a whole load of daily content. In TheXboxHub Official Podcast Episode 46 we’ll go over the personal highlights, and some lowlights, of the four-day event. There are tons of games to discuss, so let’s dive straight in.
For this episode we roped in Gareth, James, Richard and William – the awesome foursome – and after an initial set of viewpoints, the guys talk non-stop about the games coming to the major platforms including Xbox Series X, PS5, VR and more. Undoubtedly the AAA titles like Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Ratchet & Clank: A Rift Apart, and Dragon Age 4 are worth a mention, with each providing vastly different insights. There is also a lot of Star Wars related excitement too due to the presence of a LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga new trailer, a sneak peek at a Star Wars Squadrons mission, and a Sims 4 expansion.
If you’re hoping to hear about the indie scene, then we’ve got you covered in that department as well. There’s the beautifully melancholic Haven, the exploration-focused Sable, the intriguing puzzler Love, an intensely scary experience in Song of Horror, and a mysterious introduction to Unknown 9: Awakening.
We’re really not kidding when we say that there’s a whole lot more on top of all that too – yes, we are spoiling you. You can expect to also find information regarding WWE 2K Battlegrounds, Medal of Honor, Scarlet Nexus, Little Nightmares II, The Medium and a couple of other games.
