What a momentous occasion it is to reach our 50th episode and there’s no better way to celebrate than by discussing all things Xbox. The carnage of preordering a next generation console is something both Xbox and PlayStation gamers can relate to. Our team this week – consisting of Gareth, James and Richard – shared their experiences of attempting to acquire the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5, which didn’t go too smoothly to say the least. Chances are, the news about Microsoft acquiring Bethesda’s parent company probably caused even more of a demand for the new console – according to our experts.
With those two major goings on out of the way, the attention turns to the Tokyo Game Show 2020 and the utterly stunning Japan update coming to Microsoft Flight Simulator very soon. That’s not all that caught their eye though, with Minecraft showing off the delightful effects of Ray-Tracing, Balan Wonderworld charming everyone using a lovely combination of cute aesthetics and magical music, and the frantic trailer for the latest instalment of the legendary shooter series, R-Type Final 2.
There’s even more interesting news and a few recent releases mentioned – like Crysis Remastered – but then it’s capped off with an Xbox-themed quiz created by Richard. With 20 questions to test their knowledge, James and Gareth face-off once again to find out who’s the best. Can young whippersnapper James cause an upset against the wily veteran gamer, Gareth?
