Claim The Forest Settling Peace keyart as the game launches on Xbox and PC
Claim The Forest Settling Peace – bringing calm to Xbox

Not every battle for territory needs to be loud and chaotic. Sometimes, it’s about keeping the peace, going with the flow… and placing a few very chill capybaras in just the right spot. Like that of Claim the Forest: Settling Peace then.

This one arrives on Xbox with exactly that vibe – a puzzle game that’s less about conflict and more about finding your inner zen, one snug fit at a time.

Available now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S (Optimised) and Windows PC for ÂŁ4.19, this latest entry from Afil Games continues the steadily growing Claim the Forest series.

At A Glance

  • Developer: Afil Games
  • Publisher: Afil Games
  • Platforms: Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S (Optimised), Windows PC
  • Price: ÂŁ4.19
  • Game Type: Puzzle / Cozy

A Peaceful Puzzle With Plenty Of Charm

If previous entries in the series leaned into territorial tension (we’re looking at you, Shape of Wolves), Settling Peace flips the script. Here, it’s all about harmony, as adorable capybara-shaped pieces drift into your world via tiny river boats, ready to be placed with care.

Your goal? Rotate and position each piece so that every space on the board is perfectly filled. No rush, no pressure – just a gentle challenge that rewards a bit of thought and a steady approach. It’s less “fight for the forest” and more “fit for the forest”.

From Wolves To Warm Waters

If you’ve followed the series, you’ll know this isn’t the first trip into these woods. The original Claim the Forest introduced the concept back in 2025, while Shapes of Wolves added a slightly sharper edge earlier this year.

Settling Peace feels like the series taking a deep breath. The mechanics are familiar, but the tone is softer, leaning fully into cozy territory. Think less bite, more bite-sized puzzling.

30 Levels Of Laid-Back Logic

Across 30 handcrafted stages, the puzzles gradually expand in size and complexity. You’ll start with simple placements, but before long, you’ll need to think a little more carefully about rotations, space management and the order in which you drop each piece.

Still, it never loses that relaxed feel. Mistakes are easy to undo, restarts are instant, and the whole experience flows along as smoothly as the river your capybara companions arrive on. It’s the kind of game that encourages you to take your time… and maybe leaf your worries behind while you’re at it.

Time To Go With The Flow

Claim the Forest: Settling Peace doesn’t ask much of you. Just a bit of attention, a little planning, and a willingness to embrace its calm, capybara-filled world.

For ÂŁ4.19, it’s a small but charming addition to the series – one that proves sometimes the best way to claim the forest… is to do it peacefully.

You’ll find the game on the Xbox Store, in three versions. There’s the Xbox Series X|S Optimised edition, another for Xbox One, and another for Windows PC. Pick the one best suited to your needs – or just buy all three, give the Afil Games coffers a boost and pick up a ton of easy Gamerscore in the completion process.

I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
