It’s time to board the Talos I as Prey arrives on Xbox One, PS4 and PC

-

Last year saw Bethesda bring back one of gaming’s beloved franchise with the release of DOOM, and today marks the arrival of their next revival – Prey.

Now available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC for the price of £49.99, Prey sees you take on the role of protagonist Morgan Yu, and takes you through an open-world adventure onboard Talos I, a moon-orbiting space station.

You are the key subject of an experiment meant to alter humanity forever, but things have gone terribly wrong and you may be the only hope to stopping the horror that is unfolding. Talos I has been overrun, hostile aliens have broken out of containment and you are now being hunted. Using tools found on the Talos I, as well as a wide array of weapons and mind-bending abilities, it’s up to you to survive the horrors and escape before you become victim to something far worse than mere experiments.

The demo for Prey has been available for a while already, and that offers up an hours worth of gametime. Our thoughts on that are right here, whilst our full review of Prey on Xbox One will be with you in the coming days.

Will you be jumping into the sci-fi horror onboard Talos I? Let us know in the comments below or via our usual social channels, but for now, the Xbox Games Store will sort you out.

Game Description:

In Prey, you awaken aboard Talos I, a space station orbiting the moon in the year 2032. You are the key subject of an experiment meant to alter humanity forever – but things have gone terribly wrong. The space station has been overrun by hostile aliens and you are now being hunted. As you dig into the dark secrets of Talos I and your own past, you must survive using the tools found on the station, your wits, weapons, and mind-bending abilities.

I’m sure I’ll be getting this at some point as it looks great (unless the reviews are less than favorable)

It’s OK so far. The graphics aren’t anything special and the controls are wonky but besides that I like it. Will know better after spending more time with it.
