Too Many Santas
Too Many Santas – out on Xbox and PlayStation

If December ever needed a little extra sparkle, Too Many Santas! has arrived just in time to sprinkle festive flirtation everywhere.

Landing today on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4 and PS5 for the rather charming price of £5.49, this quirky visual novel asks one simple question: what happens when your Christmas wish brings six different Santa Clauses crashing into your otherwise ordinary life?

According to Penguin Pop Games, it leads to romance, chaos, and possibly far too much Christmas music.

A Festive Dating Disaster In The Making

You play as a toy shop owner staring down a rough season, both in business and in the dating department. One hasty wish upon a Christmas Star later, you are suddenly responsible for juggling a store full of customers and a shop full of Santas.

And not the traditional kind either. We’re talking:

  • Sexy Santa
  • Saintly Santa
  • Sleepy Santa
  • Sassy Santa
  • Sad Santa
  • Secret Santa

Each comes with their own charm, quirks, and potential romantic ending. Twelve endings in total, in fact – half naughty, half nice.

A Sleigh Full Of Character

Every run promises a different blend of interactions thanks to the game’s customisable protagonist. Choose your name, select your pronouns, and dive into a charmingly bizarre holiday adventure.

Expect more than 250 original photographs bringing each Santa to life, accompanied by a soundtrack so full of Christmas tunes that it borders on festive overload. Thankfully, the game is intentionally short and sweet, meant to deliver maximum yuletide joy without consuming your entire holiday break.

From A Team Who Know How To Make Things Delightfully Weird

Penguin Pop’s track record on Xbox has always leaned into eccentric concepts. With Square Logic, we praised the studio for delivering a “nicely designed, well crafted puzzler” that rewarded players who clicked with its clever structure.

Meanwhile, Squish Machine landed as an enjoyable, if brief, blast of Flappy Bird-style challenge, offering “a fun flap through trap-filled stages.

Too Many Santas! slots neatly into that same niche – lighthearted, unusual, and made to put a smile on your face rather than bury you in mechanics.

What You’re Getting For £5.49

Here’s a quick breakdown of everything tucked under this particular Christmas tree:

  • Six wildly different Santa love interests
  • Twelve possible endings
  • Fully customisable protagonist
  • Over 250 bespoke photographs
  • A mountain of festive music
  • A short, replayable visual novel experience
  • The trademark Penguin Pop charm

A Short But Sweet Slice Of Holiday Romance

Too Many Santas! won’t take you long to finish, but that’s part of its jolly charm. It’s the sort of game you can dip into between wrapping presents, waiting for dinner, or hiding from guests who want to talk about the weather.

If you’re in the mood for something festive, funny, and a little bit ridiculous, this might be just the seasonal delight you’re after. Just make your way to the Xbox Store.

Now the real question: which Santa will you fall for first?

I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
