Yep that’s right, there’s a new twin stick shooter on the horizon and this one will be hitting the latest consoles plus the good old Amiga.
Tower 57 is an action packed top-down twin sticker that comes with 16 bit inspired pixel art, a ton of the most destructible environments and a super heavy focus on co-op. If you remember how the old school Amiga shooters used to wow you, then this will stick a modern day twist on it.
In a dieselpunk world where Megatowers are the only enclaves of civilization, a group of extraordinary individuals―yes, that includes you―is sent to infiltrate the reclusive Tower 57. Your skills, clip capacity, and ability to cooperate will decide your fate.
Its main features include…
- Fast-paced, responsive arcade gameplay
- Highly destructible environments
- Original pixel art―rich and vibrant levels awaiting to be explored
- Seven characters with different skills and arsenals
- Campaign designed for both single-player and co-op (local and online)
- Absorbing, unique dieselpunk world
If you’re interested in finding out more about Tower 57 and are at Gamescom, then make sure you hunt it down. If you’re not there, and aren’t attending PAX West either, then you’ll just have to sit it out until its release in 2017. Although we’re pretty certain we’ll be able to bring you more news about it soon.
