Tower Defence bug shooter Space Raiders in Space is out now

Space Raiders in Space Xbox

We used to frequent a nightclub that sold bags of Space Raiders alongside your alcoholic beverages. My friend decided one night to eat 20 bags along with copious amounts of vodka. His stomach let him know all about it the morning after. Anyways, this game has nothing to do with the corn snack. Space Raiders in Space is out today on Xbox.

The bugpocalypse has happened and alien bugs have taken over the world. Team up with up to eight playable heroes and defend the rest of the crew. Each hero can be given individual orders or you can tell the group as a whole what to do. Your choices will have an impact too; who lives and who dies is up to your decisions.

Space Raiders in Space is part tower defence and part roguelike. As you progress you can build your base of operations and find new weapons. There are no issues with limited ammo in Space Raiders in Space, but you can still rush in for a melee finisher if needed.

Space Raiders in Space also features:

  • Simple gameplay loop
  • Interesting story mode
  • Near infinite replayability
  • Unique aesthetic
  • Adult humour

Space Raiders in Space is on the Xbox Store now priced at £14.24. Early bug defenders can pick this up at a discount, down to £11.39 for a limited time. If you want even more bang for your buck, there is a double pack that pairs Space Raiders in Space with Clumsy Rush, on the Xbox Store for £21.74. If you need a review of Clumsy Rush, look no further than here.

Let us know in the comments below if you will be picking up Space Raiders in Space!

Game description

Simple mechanics Space Raiders in Space is a mixture of roguelike and tower defence mechanics. Focus and proper management are crucial to keep your squad alive. You are the captain now! Control up to eight heroes with unique quirks and talents. Issue commands to individuals or the entire group. Your choices will determine who lives and who ends up as bug fodder. It’s free real estate! Build up your base of operations, gather resources and find new weapons. Don’t worry about lack of ammo but make sure your guns don’t break in the middle of the enemy wave. Well… if it comes to that you can always send your crew into a heroic melee
