Train Sim World 5 – now available on Xbox, PlayStation, PC

Ready to take to the railways once more? Train Sim World 5 is here and fully playable on Xbox, PlayStation and PC.

Should you have a liking for simulation games, or just adore the railways, then you’ll want to hit the rails right away, doing so with Dovetail Games’ latest and greatest – Train Sim World 5. It’s present some 7 days ahead of the ‘official’ release date, thanks to the Deluxe and Special Editions.

Train Sim World 5’s early access – not cheap!

With cash flowing from your wallet to the digital storefront of your choice, Train Sim World 5 takes what Dovetail Games have honed over the years, building on their previous releases on Train Sim World, Train Sim World 2, Train Sim World 3 and Train Sim World 4, to deliver the most authentic, the most brilliant railway sim ever.

You can gain access to Train Sim World 5 now, thanks to the £104.99 Special Edition, including pretty much anything and everything Train Sim World. Or alternatively, hit up the £59.99 Deluxe Edition; skipping some of the content in return for a cheaper price.

Your final option is to hold until 17th September and take home Train Sim World 5 in Standard Edition form, either for £39.99 or through Game Pass.

New features

No matter the version, it comes with new gameplay features Conductor Mode, Route Hopping and three new city-centric routes, whisking players off to London, Los Angeles and Frankfurt.

Germany’s high-speed, tilting ICE-T is added to the fleet for the first time and joins America’s biofuel powered Metrolink MP36PH-3C. British railfans will rejoice at the inclusion of the West Coast Main Line and Deluxe Edition players can tilt their way through Wembley, Watford and down to Milton Keynes in the innovative, iconic Avanti West Coast Pendolino.

Matt Peddlesden, Train Sim World 5’s Executive Producer: “Two innovative trains that feature tilting capability, the Class 390 Pendolino and the DB ICE-T, and the brand-new Conductor Mode make for an entirely new gameplay experience in this substantial new edition of Train Sim World. These, alongside many other awesome features and enhancements give players exciting new things to do and some of the most requested trains and routes to enjoy them on!”

Train Sim World 5 Game Pass access is coming

A Free Starter Pack, containing just the Training Center ‘test track’ route and four trains, will be available for 30 days from launch day 17th September to keep permanently. Train Sim World 5: Standard Edition, featuring the three core routes, will also be available on launch to Game Pass players.

Sold? Get over to the Xbox Store. The bold links above will see you taken to the relevant page, playing on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S or PC. You should also find this on PlayStation.

I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
