The rails of Train Sim World 6 continue to stretch across Europe, and the latest expansion takes players somewhere entirely new – Czechia.
With the launch of Train Sim World 6: Liberec – Stará Paka, the long-running railway simulation series arrives in Czechia for the first time, delivering a scenic yet technically demanding journey through the Jizera Mountains.
Available now for £32.99 on Xbox Series X|S and PC, this new add-on invites players to explore a historic freight corridor that dates back to the 1850s, originally constructed to transport coal and cargo between Germany and the industrial centres of eastern Bohemia.
In Train Sim World 6, that historic line becomes a living railway once again – complete with passenger services, heavy freight runs, and plenty of operational challenges along the way.
A First Journey Into The Czech Countryside
The Liberec – Stará Paka line represents the northwestern section of a railway connecting Liberec with Hradec Králové and Pardubice. In Train Sim World 6, the 75km route winds through the Jizera Valley, offering a mix of natural beauty and demanding railway operations.
Across the route, drivers will navigate:
- 11 stations and 9 additional stops
- Eight tunnels
- More than 80 bridges
- Gradients that climb and descend between 250–300 metres
Two New Trains To Master
Handling passenger duties across the line is the Class 843 diesel railcar, a modern train introduced in the mid-1990s for regional services across Czechia. Inside the cab, drivers must contend with detailed startup procedures and interactive radio functionality.
These trains often operate alongside Class 043 coaches, forming longer passenger sets that weave through the mountains.
Meanwhile, freight operations are handled by the Class 750, affectionately nicknamed “Goggles” thanks to its distinctive front windows. This locomotive offers a more traditional hands-on driving experience, hauling freight across the mountainous terrain and tackling the line’s most demanding duties.
Among the most complex tasks are Manipulation trains, which require players to collect and drop off wagons along the route, combining mainline driving with detailed shunting operations.
New Signalling Systems To Learn
One of the most notable additions with the Liberec – Stará Paka expansion is the introduction of authentic Czech signalling and safety systems, appearing in the Train Sim World series for the first time.
For experienced players used to British, German, or American routes, this brings a completely new operational rule set to master.

Expanding The World Of Train Sim World
When we reviewed Train Sim World 6, awarding it a 3.5/5 score, we noted that the series continues to grow thanks to new routes and rolling stock, commenting, “The new tracks and trains are always appreciated.”
The Liberec – Stará Paka add-on is a perfect example of that philosophy in action. By venturing into Czechia for the first time, the expansion introduces fresh landscapes, unfamiliar signalling systems, and new trains for players to master.
