TRANSFORMERS BATTLEGROUNDS

Autobots, roll out. Unless of course you think of yourself as a bit of a Decepticon, in which case, you’ll want to gather your troops and create all manner of havoc. Whatever side you decide to roll with though matters little as come October 2020 we’ll see the Transformers world be ignited like never before with Transformers Battlegrounds on Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC.

Coming from Hasbro Inc and Outright Games, the epic battle between Autobots and Decepticons will continue in all out tactical warfare with Transformers Battlegrounds. Due to launch on October 23rd 2020, this all-new Transformers title promises to be the one that kids of all ages have been holding out for, becoming available across Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC.

Bringing the timeless, legendary war between Autobots and Decepticons to life in a never before seen way, Battlegrounds will see the evil MEGATRON closing in on the Allspark, as BUMBLEBEE and the Autobots need a new commander to help save Earth. It’ll be up to them to team up and roll out into battles that will range from Central City to Cybertron, and across both single player and multiplayer action.

“The TRANSFORMERS franchise is one of the most enduring and recognizable in the world of entertainment,” said Terry Malham, CEO of Outright Games. “It’s an honour to work with this beloved universe and these iconic characters to create a new and exciting TRANSFORMERS console game that families can enjoy together.”

“TRANSFORMERS: BATTLEGROUNDS is a new and authentic take on what a TRANSFORMERS video game can be,” says Mark Blecher, Hasbro SVP Corporate Strategy and Business Affairs. “It’s exciting for us to bring the epic story of the battle between the Autobots and Decepticons to life for a new generation of fans on console.”

More information about how Transformers Battlegrounds will play out is promised in the weeks ahead. For now though, let us know which side you’ll be taking – the comments are below. The big question we’re asking though is whether or not it’ll be better than Transformers Devastation from back in 2015.

I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
