The spooky season is upon us and Thunderful Publishing & Megagon Industries are adding a sprinkling of that spookiness to the brilliant Lonely Mountains: Downhill with Season 9 content.
Rolling out today, Season 9 of the Daily Rides challenges for Lonely Mountains: Downhill is titled Trick Or Trails, and yes, as you have suspected, it is a Halloween-themed update.
Available today for players on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC through Steam, Season 9 is seen to be adding new outfits, ghoulish accessories and some seasonally appropriate new paint jobs. There’s a Halloween King outfit, a Rag Doll offering, that of some Pinky Brain helmets and new paint jobs for your bikes.
In all, if you have the base game of Lonely Mountains: Downhill (and you should because it’s frankly bloody brilliant), this latest update will contain all of the following…
- Declare yourself seasonal royalty with the Halloween King outfit
- Show that you are rough and ready with the Rag Doll outfit.
- Look like you’ve just finished raising the dead with the Mad Scientist outfit.
- Deck yourself out in the scariest outfit of them all – the Politicians outfit!
- Make safety scary with the Happy Pumpkin, Evil Pumpkin and Pinky Brain helmets.
- Deck your bike out in new Halloween-themed paint jobs, Shadow and Fog.
If you’re unaware of the game, all you need to know is that Lonely Mountains: Downhill places you upon a little bike, throws you to the top of a mountain and asks you to get down it – as quickly and as safely as you can. It’s been built out with the Daily Rides, which is a cross-platform daily leaderboard competition in which each day a trail will be selected randomly, complete with new obstacles and gameplay modifiers. The eight week long season offers up a new theme with unlockable cosmetic rewards for participants with Season 9 following on from past seasons – Season 8, Season 7 and so on.
Should you need to get access to the base game, you’ll find Lonely Mountains: Downhill present on the Xbox Store for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S (optimised), available through Game Pass too. It’s also on Steam and Switch.
