If you’re after a charming fairytale universe, then the Trine series is most definitely one for you, and today Trine bursts into the modern era with not just a release of the brand new Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince, but the full Ultimate Collection for good measure.

Available to purchase and download right now on Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC, Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince is the headlining act on this wonderful Trine-fuelled day, with Modus Games and Frozenbyte delivering the most complete Trine game yet.

Priced up at £24.99, Trine 4 sees the return of the three heroes of Trine – Amadeus the Wizard, Pontius the Knight, and Zoya the Thief – as they team up to hunt down and retrieve young Prine Selius, a troubled young man who suffers from the darkest of dreams and the most monstrous of nightmares.

From here on out you’ll have to help the trio of heroes work their way through a stunning 2.5D world that is full of puzzle, in order to save the Prince from the situation he is in.

Without a shadow of doubt, Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince looks absolutely stunning and no matter whether you are a fan of the series from years past, or coming in green to this latest Trine adventure, you should be well sorted with what is on offer. Our full review of Trine 4 on Xbox One is fast approaching and will be able to clarify anything and everything you wish to know about the game; keep an eye out for it, but *spoilers* it promises to be a good one!

Alongside the launch of Trine 4 though comes the Trine: Ultimate Collection, allowing you the chance to not just take in the newest instalment in the series, but everything that has gone before it, with Trine Enchanted Edition, Trine 2: Complete Story, Trine 3: Artifacts of Power and the all new Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince, all included.

If you wish to discover and understand the powers of Trine, then this Ultimate Collection is a bit of a no-brainer, allowing opportunity to run through the entire series with no fuss nor bother. It comes in with a price of £39.99, but considering you’re getting the £24.99 Trine 4 included in that, we think that’s a more than reasonable price to pay.

As always, the usual digital stores will sort you out with the relevant downloads. For us Xbox One gamers we feel the Xbox Store is the best place to nab downloads of both Trine 4 and Trine Ultimate Collection, but should you prefer the PS4, Nintendo Switch or PC way of life, then you’ll also be sorted.

Whatever route you decide to take, we’re pretty sure your Trine experience will be a great one. Let us know what you think of both these additions though – the comments section is down below.
