Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 3 Headset
Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 3 Headset – it’s coming!

It’s been a couple of years since Turtle Beach refreshed their brilliant Stealth 700 Headset, but today they announce that refresh, alongside some charging options and Nintendo Switch gear.

New gaming gear is always good, and that’s where Turtle Beach seemingly excel. Upcoming is a new Turtle Beach Stealth 700 headset, additional PDP Afterglow Wave gear and a REALMZ travel case for Switch.

Obviously it’s the Xbox side of things we are most interested in, and with that in mind comes the new Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 3 Headset. A multiplatform gaming headset for Xbox, PlayStation, PC, Steam Deck and mobile is redesigned for a third generation of premium gaming prowess.

A newly redesigned Stealth 700 Headset

It will allow games to dominate on console, PC, and compatible Bluetooth devices with the Stealth 700’s CrossPlay dual wireless transmitter system, which includes two wireless transmitters allowing gamers to change the headset’s audio source at the touch of a button.

The new Stealth 700 also features massive and powerful 60mm Eclipse Dual Drivers, a third-generation flip-to-mute mic with A.I. noise-cancellation, an 80-hour battery life, and much more. The Stealth 700’s dedicated PC version adds 24-bit, 96kHz high-fidelity wireless audio and Waves 3D sound enhancements, plus a 16-bit, 32kHz high-bandwidth microphone. Consider that we were very impressed with the Gen 2 Stealth 700, and hopes are high for this new one.

The Designed for Xbox Stealth 700 will be available in cobalt blue/gold or black/silver, while the PlayStation version comes in white/silver or black/silver. The Stealth 700 PC version is a black/silver affair.

Turtle Beach’s new Stealth 700 headsets are available for pre-order for $199.99/£179.99/€199.99 MSRP and launch Sept. 22nd 2024.

Want some Afterglow?

Further, Turtle Beach have also confirmed some new PDP Afterglow gear, most notably the Afterglow Wave Dual Chargers officially licensed by PlayStation (subject to final product approval) and officially licensed for Xbox.

This unique charging system features the Afterglow Wave family’s eight RGB zones with customizable options to create a stunning display for Xbox Wireless Controllers or DualSense wireless controllers for PS5 while charging them.

With the Profiles Button, gamers can program up to five lighting effect profiles, and they can download the free PDP Control Hub mobile app to monitor charging status, create custom displays and profiles, adjust brightness, and more. The Xbox charger also includes 1100mAh rechargeable battery packs and replacement doors to simultaneously charge two controllers in just three hours, for up to 40-hours of gaming time on a single charge.

The Afterglow Wave Dual Chargers are available for pre-order for $29.99/£24.99/€29.99 MSRP and launch Oct. 1st 2024.

Nintendo Switch gamer?

Want more? There are also some Afterglow Wave controllers for Switch as well as a Minecraft REALMz Forest Battle Travel Case Plus GLOW and Forest Biome Wireless Controller.

“We’re excited to build on the formidable momentum Turtle Beach and PDP have already created in 2024 with another wave of highly sought-after gaming accessories coming later this year,” said Cris Keirn, CEO, Turtle Beach Corporation. “Our Stealth 700 series headsets have been fan favorites since first launching in 2017. With our third-generation multiplatform Stealth 700, we’re incorporating incredible features and refinements like massive 60mm dual drivers and a dual wireless transmitter system.”

Keirn continued, “PDP continues to deliver premier fan and gaming experiences with the new limited-edition Minecraft REALMz wireless controller and case for Nintendo Switch, while its latest Afterglow Wave family of products expands with new colorways and functionality. With these latest additions to our overall portfolio of gaming accessories, including our recently announced Kone™ II mice also launching in September, our breadth of options and commitment to performance will delight gamers this fall.”

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
