Xbox Game Pass continues to evolve this February, with Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora arriving for subscribers and Avowed expanding its reach across the service tiers.
While one is a visually striking open-world adventure set on Pandora, the other is a critically acclaimed fantasy RPG already winning over players in the Living Lands.
Both games are available from Feb 17th across Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Cloud, giving Game Pass players two very different worlds to explore this week.

- Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora joins Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on February 17th
- Avowed now available on Game Pass Premium (already available on Ultimate and PC Game Pass)
- Both titles playable via Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC
Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora Arrives On Game Pass
The headline addition this week is Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Ubisoft’s open-world action-adventure set in the lush Western Frontier of Pandora. Players step into the role of a Na’vi who must rediscover their identity while fighting back against the RDA.
This is a game built around exploration, vertical traversal, and environmental storytelling. From soaring through the skies on a banshee to engaging in ground combat using both traditional Na’vi weaponry and human technology, the experience leans heavily into the fantasy of living in James Cameron’s alien world.
The game also supports two-player online co-op, allowing players to explore Pandora together.
When we reviewed the game, we chucked a 4/5 score on the end and said: “Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is not a bad game by any means, but once discovering the stunning vistas wears thin, you won’t find much substantial meat to chew on in those forests.”
Still, for Game Pass subscribers, it’s a visually spectacular world well worth visiting.
Avowed Expands To Game Pass Premium
While Avowed has already been available through Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, this week sees Obsidian Entertainment’s fantasy RPG expand to Game Pass Premium, ensuring more players can access one of the most compelling RPG adventures on Xbox.
Set in the world of Eora, familiar to fans of Pillars of Eternity, Avowed puts players in the role of an envoy investigating a mysterious plague spreading across the Living Lands. With a blend of first-person combat, spellcasting, exploration, and companion-driven storytelling, it offers a flexible RPG experience where choices matter.
Combat encourages experimentation, as you look to go combining melee weapons, magic, ranged attacks, and shields to suit your playstyle, all while companions bring personality and tactical variety to the journey.
We were seriously impressed when reviewing it: “Avowed is a gripping, utterly absorbing adventure that strikes a pleasing balance in the genre. Once picked up, it’s hard to put down.” – 4.5/5.
For Premium subscribers who haven’t yet stepped into the Living Lands, now is the perfect time.
Another Solid Week For Game Pass
This week’s Game Pass updates highlight the service’s continued strength in offering variety. From large-scale open-world sci-fi exploration to deep fantasy RPG storytelling, no matter whether you’re bonding with a banshee above Pandora or uncovering secrets in Eora, there’s plenty to dive into.
And with 2026 shaping up to be a huge year for Xbox Game Pass, this is likely just the beginning. We’re expecting more announcements regarding the Game Pass changes for the second half of February very soon. We’ll update this list as and when that confirmation comes through.
For now, let us know which game you’ll be playing first.
