Two Point Hospital: JUMBO Edition detailed and dated for Xbox, PlayStation and Switch

It’s been the best part of a year since SEGA and the Two Point Studios team pushed out the rather delightful Two Point Hospital to console, opening up a world of management, details and utter madness to Xbox, PlayStation and Switch players. Now though it’s time for things to step up a gear with the JUMBO Edition!

Coming to Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch, with the usual backwards compatibility goodness that is now staple for Xbox Series X|S and PS5, Two Point Hospital: JUMBO Edition looks set to be the best way to play Two Point Hospital.

Confirmed for launch on March 5th 2021, digitally and physically (although just in digital form on Xbox), the JUMBO Edition will provide players with all the content they could ever need, letting them build their dream hospitals within the most interesting of regions and being able to spend time researching the most unusual illnesses.

Your healthcare empire will be a cinch to control with the Two Point Hospital: JUMBO Edition, with it including the brilliant base game, four expansion packs and two further item packs that push the very limits of what you can imagine. This will mean there are 27 hospitals included, 189 different illnesses to get on top of and a whole slew of items to place around your gaff, making your hospital the place for patients to be.

Each area will come with its own region specific oddities and challenges too, with the Bigfoot, Pebberley Island, Close Encounters and Off the Grid expansions providing access to the following…

  • Bigfoot brings you to the wintery region of Pointy Mountains, where local celebri-yeti Bartholomew F. Yeti, has been petitioning for better healthcare. Mr Yeti will need your help, curing new illnesses such as Cold Shoulder, Bard Flu, and Aurora Snorealis!
  • In Pebberley Island you begin your adventures in the balmy climes of Pebberley Reef, before pushing into dense, unexplored country in Overgrowth, to finally conquer the stunning Topless Mountain as you attempt to unlock the lost secret of eternal youth.
  • In Close Encounters rumours persist of an out of this world encounter. Deal with conspiracies, secret facilities and more unusual illnesses like Science Friction and Lack of Humanity. Maybe you’ll get to see some aliens…
  • For anyone who’s more into Green Things and Mother Nature… no problem! In Off The Grid you’ll manage new gameplay mechanics on your route to eco-friendly success. Visit Two Point County’s first eco-city, get gardening and don’t catch any Root Snoot or Green Fingers!

These will be accompanied by both the Retro Items Pack (26 retro and vintage items included), and the Exhibition Items Pack (for those looking to channel their inner artist).

Two Point Hospital: JUMBO Edition will roll out onto store from March 5th 2021 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4 and Nintendo Switch. If you already own the base game – and you should – then you’ll be able to grab the extra expansions and item packs individually as you see fit.

We’ll be sure to remind you when that launch of the JUMBO Edition hits home.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
