The curators of Two Point County have opened a portal to a new dimension of weird, and it’s filled with both retro magic and cosmic horror with a new DREDGE crossover in Two Point Museum.

A brand-new, free content update for Two Point Museum has arrived for all players on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC. This new Digiverse update introduces a brand-new expedition map and, in a wonderfully unexpected crossover, a whole new wing dedicated to the monstrously gorgeous fishing adventure, DREDGE.

This huge drop of free content adds a host of new exhibits, decorations, and gameplay mechanics to what is already one of the best simulation games on the market.

The Best Just Got Better (and Weirder)

We were completely smitten with Two Point Museum when it launched. In our 4.5/5 review, we called it “arguably the best in the series yet” and praised how it “keeps the hot streak going for the consistently brilliant sim series.

This new Digiverse update is a perfect example of the developers’ trademark creativity and continued support, adding a wonderfully strange and substantial new layer to the game at no extra cost.

The Digiverse is a brand-new expedition map that becomes available once you’ve earned the second star in Memento Mile. This new area acts as a hub for a series of new “rifts,” each transporting you to a different world to unearth new artifacts and exhibits.

The Meat Wizard Rift

Your first adventure in the Digiverse takes you inside Two Point’s favourite fictional videogame series, “Meat Wizard.” This retro-themed rift is brimming with nostalgic exhibits, quirky dĂ©cor, and interactive displays.

It also introduces a brand-new gameplay mechanic: Power-Ups. These special items can be crafted in your workshop and placed around your museum to provide powerful bonuses, allowing for bigger, better, and bolder ways to impress your guests.

A Terrifying Crossover with DREDGE

The most exciting and unexpected part of this new update is a full-blown crossover with the incredible indie fishing-horror game, DREDGE. We are huge fans of that game, calling it “hideously compelling” in our own 4.5/5 review.

This new rift will allow you to venture out into the shadowy waters of The Grey Isles from DREDGE. You will be able to explore three remote Points of Interest, haul in ten new mysterious catches, unlock new and unsettling aquarium décor, and even kit out your staff in new themed outfits.

But be warned: the developers note that while daytime fishing is fine, nighttime is… unwise. And whatever you do, don’t look too closely at the Aberration Fish.

More Rifts on the Horizon

This is just the beginning for the Digiverse. Two Point Studios has confirmed that new rifts will appear over time, bringing even more exhibits, decorations, and gameplay surprises in the future. The free update also includes a host of quality-of-life improvements, bug fixes, and new language support for Latin-American Spanish, Thai, and Russian.

The doors to a new dimension of museum management are officially open. With a brilliant retro-themed adventure and a perfectly executed, genuinely spooky crossover, the free Digiverse update is an unmissable new chapter for all curators.

The update is live and waiting for you now.

Of course, you’ll need a copy of Two Point Museum in your library. The Xbox Store will cover things for Xbox Series X|S players, but it’s also on PS5 and PC.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
