Xbox Game Pass subscribers were treated to the surprise addition of The Gardens Between today, bringing the puzzling journey straight into the library upon its launch. Furthermore, two other titles have been announced for the scheme in December; one of them is an absolute corker and the other is a brand new offering.
First up is Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden, arriving on 4th December and allowing Xbox Game Pass members the chance to get stuck in to its post-apocalyptic world immediately. As a tactical adventure with turn-based combat and real-time exploration, Mutant Year Zero puts you in command of a unique squad of mutant soldiers, tasking you with scavenging through the remains of civilization in order to survive. Ultimately, you and your band of heroes must embark on the quest to discover the legend of Eden. It comes from the creators of Hitman and PayDay, so you can expect to experience a mixture of story, exploration, stealth, and strategy within the brutal environment of a rather decimated planet Earth.
The second new entrant, coming on 6th December, is Rebellion’s rip-roaring, 1930s style co-op shooter and mythological adventure, Strange Brigade. Players get to investigate the darkest, creepiest corners of Egypt to unearth a variety of treasures, solve mind-bending puzzles and avoid deadly traps. But the traps aren’t the only threat here, with an army of monstrous beasts and skeletons to defeat along the way. Oh and there’s the small matter of an evil witch queen to deal with on your mysterious journey too.
