Ubisoft confirm their EGX lineup – Assassin’s Creed Origins, Far Cry 5, South Park and more!

Best of 2025

If past history is anything to go by, we can expect Ubisoft to be hitting EGX in the UK pretty damn hard, showcasing a number of their upcoming titles with huge elaborate stands and displays. Today, they’ve confirmed exactly which games will be playable at the show, and it must be said the lineup is looking pretty damn hot.

So, with EGX taking place at The NEC, Birmingham between 21st-24th September, Ubisoft have promised that Assassin’s Creed Origins, Far Cry 5, South Park: The Fractured but Whole and Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle will all be playable. Additionally, Rainbow Six Siege players are in for a treat as the Rainbow Six UK Invitational will also take place.

Full details below – just make sure you check them out prior to visiting the show.

Assassin’s Creed Origins brings the blockbuster series to Ancient Egypt, a land of majesty and intrigue disappearing in a ruthless fight for power. Unveil dark secrets and forgotten myths as you go back to the one founding moment: The Origins of the Assassin’s Brotherhood. Visitors to EGX will have the option to play either the Xbox One X or PC versions of the game.

In Far Cry 5 players are tasked with leading a resistance against a fanatical cult in small town, U.S.A. Freely explore Hope County’s rivers, lands, and skies with the largest customisable weapon and vehicle roster ever in a Far Cry game. EGX visitors will have a rare opportunity to get hands-on with the game before its release in February.

South Park: The Fractured but Whole is the hotly anticipated follow up to 2014’s The Stick of Truth. Created, written, voiced, and directed by Trey Parker and Matt Stone and featuring more than twice as much content as the previous game, The Fractured But Whole is authentic, interactive South Park at its finest.

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle tells the story of an unexpected encounter between the most iconic video game hero of all time, Mario, and the irreverent, chaotic & cute Rabbids. Featuring tactical turn-based combat, Mario and his friends will use never-before-seen weapons and embark on an epic quest to put the Mushroom Kingdom back in order. The game will be playable in both single-player and co-op at EGX.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
