Hotly anticipating Far Cry 5? Ubisoft have released further details regarding the online co-op mode – Friend for Hire!
Due to release on Feb 27th 2018 on the Xbox One X, Xbox One, PS4, PS4 Pro and PC, Far Cry 5 won’t just be about the solo experience. Friend For Hire is a two player co-op affair which lets players explore Hope County and take down the Project at Eden’s Gate in a surprising and chaotic new fashion expanding the possibility of the game’s open world.
In order to get involved, the co-op mode will kick in as soon as the game’s tutorial has been completed, with all experience points and inventory items (excluding the quest-based loot), carrying over from each session played. As is usually the way, it will however only be the host player who sees their story progress.

Set in America, a first for the franchise, Far Cry 5 offers players total freedom to navigate a serene-looking yet deeply twisted world as the new junior deputy of fictional Hope County, Montana. Players will find that their arrival accelerates a years-long silent coup by a fanatical doomsday cult, the Project at Eden’s Gate, igniting a violent takeover of the county. Under siege and cut off from the rest of the world, players will join forces with residents of Hope County and form the Resistance.
