Undead Horde 2: Necropolis continues the souls tale

It was back in 2019 when we played and reviewed Undead Horde. Now it’s time for that tale to continue, with release of Undead Horde 2: Necropolis on Xbox, PlayStation and Switch. 

The undead rise

Undead Horde 2: Necropolis launches on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, fully optimised for Series consoles. It’s also launching today on PlayStation and Nintendo Switch, whilst a previous PC drop on Steam from a few months back sees this one sitting pretty with a ‘Very Positive’ review rating. Hopes are therefore extremely high for the console release. 

It’s priced at £14.24 from the Xbox Store, so you should expect to pay roughly that elsewhere too. And if you do drop it, expect this one to build on the previous Undead Horde release. 

Telling a tale of how you become the King of all Necromancers, in Undead Horde 2: Necropolis on Xbox you’ll be found raising armies of the undead, tasking them with becoming warriors for your doing. The thing is, these guys come from the remains of your enemies. 

Making the most of your soldiers, the main aim here is to take back your land. And you’ll want to free some souls too, ensuring a rich future for the undead masses. 

A blend of genres

Undead Horde 2: Necropolis on Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch mixes a host of different genres. You’ll find a bit of action included here. Plus some RPG elements, strategic calls and more. For us, it’s the hacking and slashing that is most intriguing. 

You’ll find that the Xbox Store is capable of providing a download of Undead Horde 2: Necropolis. From there you’ll be able to play it on your Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S (optimised). Other stores will handle the PlayStation, Switch and PC ports.
