Releasing today on Xbox, PlayStation and Switch platforms, Undergrave offers up a mix of turn-based combat with roguelike elements, to produce a very tactical and addictive experience. Taking place within the Void Realm, playing host to a number of levels, each set up as a grid-like system, it is your job as an elite ninja to slice your way through a set of enemies that have been plopped down on the grid.
Each of the three basic abilities you have at your disposal (Jump, Dash, Throw) take up varying amounts of stamina, and as such you will need to plan multiple moves ahead to ensure you can defeat your enemies, before they move across the grid and make mince-meat out of you. It’s a very brutal game of chess that will quickly have you learning from your errors, and returning to best a particularly tricky level.
Undergrave is now available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, Switch and PC. With the game the proud owner of ‘Very Positive’ reviews over on Steam, this one looks like a no-brainer for anyone that likes a mental challenge within their games.
