Planet Zoo: Console Edition player? It’s time to embrace Africa and head to the Grasslands, as two new DLC packs land on Xbox and PlayStation.
More animals come to Planet Zoo
Widely regarded as one of the finest of all of Frontier’s park sims, Planet Zoo: Console Edition is ripe for expansion. It’s that which is happening again today, as two new DLC drops hit the game. Are they as exciting as that found in the previous release of the Aquatic & Twilight Bundle? Quite possibly…
Available today for all Planet Zoo: Console Edition players to enjoy are the Grasslands Animal Pack and Africa Pack. Each contains multiple new animals for you to add into your zoo, as well as a specific scenario for each. Consider the £7.99 asking price of each pack as an individual entity, or the heavily discounted £11.99 for the pack, and it makes things oh so appealing.
In fact, when you understand that this pack adds in 13 new animals, more than 180 pieces of scenery and a couple of scenarios, we’re not sure how any Planet Zoo player could ignore them.
Grasslands Animal Pack
In the Grasslands Animal Pack your guests will marvel at the maned wolf, emu, caracal, red-necked wallaby, nine-banded armadillo, striped hyena and blue wildebeest.
But further to that come five colourful species of butterfly, as flying insects come to the game for the first time, fluttering through their walkthrough exhibit.
And if that wasn’t quite enough to sell a purchase, players can test their skills with a scenario set in untamed Argentinian grasslands.
Africa Pack
Then we have the Africa Pack. This introduces even more fascinating species, with the meerkat, southern white rhino, African penguin, fennec fox, and sacred scarab beetle exhibit animal sure to impress.
Budding builders can also create the ultimate African-inspired zoo with a stunning selection of scenery and foliage, while zookeepers must rise to the challenge of transforming a hidden desert gem in a new scenario.
Which will you choose?
Check out the trailer below and let us know which of the new packs you’ll be adding to your game. Will it be the lure of Africa, or the hidden secrets of the Grasslands? The comments are below.
And remember, you’ll need a copy of Planet Zoo: Console Edition to hand in order to enjoy these expansions. Head over to the Xbox Store to nab a download on Xbox Series X|S, whilst PS5 players will find their own store doing similar.
