Have you ever stopped to consider the everyday lives of video game henchmen? Of course not. You’re probably too busy saving the world and all that. Luckily, Wunderling launches on the Xbox One and PS4 today, and it will offer a view into the life of a dedicated video game goon.
As the titular Wunderling, it is your job to stop the hero. That can be tricky when all you know how to do is walk until you hit a wall. Once the game begins, however, you obtain an incredible power: the ability to jump. With this newfound spring in your steps, you must traverse a host of dangerous puzzle platforming levels and put an end to that dastardly do-gooder’s doings.
Developed by Retroid, Wunderling isn’t content to mix up the formula in only one way. Playing as a minor baddie means adhering to the unspoken video game rules of a minor baddie. That is to say that Wunderling can never stop walking. This also means that you cannot decide which way Wunderling walks. Rather, you’ll have to use his jumping ability and carefully plan where his footsteps will take him. Don’t worry too much, though. With carefully designed levels, unlockable abilities, hidden collectible, and a whopping twenty-eight million costume combos, Wunderling promises to be an exciting adventure.
Features include:
- Jump between platforms and solve puzzles with one hand!
- Discover a hidden treasure on each stage.
- Unlock the hidden Wunder-moves, like “Boost” and “Wall-Jump”!
- Enjoy beautiful bite-sized pixel art.
- Customize your Wunderling with more than 27 million outfit combinations.
- Track down the Hero; in this game YOU are the boss!
