New versions of UNO?

Love nothing more than a bit of card-playing in UNO? You’re in luck as Ubisoft have pushed out two new versions of the classic card game to world’s of Xbox, PlayStation, Switch and PC.

There is nothing new about UNO, and if you haven’t ever played the physical card game, there’s a good chance that you’ll have at least taken it in virtually. For us, it’s a game that ushers up many memories, whether that be due to the Immortals Fenyx Rising cards of a few years back, or the revamped base UNO from 2016, video chat and all. And further to that, we’ve had the recent addition of UNO Party! Mania just a couple of months back.

New UNO!

Today though it’s about a couple of new versions, as Ubisoft allow players the opportunity to get involved with some proper decks. You’ll get to do that via the UNO Legacy Edition or UNO Ultimate Edition.

We’ll start with the smaller of the two packs – UNO Legacy Edition. This is priced at £16.99 on the Xbox Store and includes the base game of UNO, the expansion in the form of Party! Mania, the 50th Anniversary DLC and UNO Flip. The issue? Those four combined only come to £18.36 as it is, less when the base game is heavily discounted. Doesn’t make things all too appealing eh?

The Ultimate Edition is Ultimate

Perhaps the UNO Ultimate Edition is better value? Well, you’d think so with it bringing together pretty much everything that Ubisoft have ever delivered to market, card-wise, at least. In fact, for just £24.99 you are getting access to…

  • UNO™: Play one of the most iconic games as you match cards by color, number, or symbol and play action cards to spice things up. Race against others to empty your hand before anyone else, and don’t forget to shout “UNO!” when you’re down to your last card!
  • UNO Flip!™ DLC: Elevate your UNO™ matches with a double-sided deck, introducing a competitive twist to the classic gameplay. Switch between the light and dark sides and get ready to spice things up with new action cards that are funnier than ever!
  • UNO™ 50th Anniversary DLC: Celebrate five decades of one of the most popular card games in style with this DLC and its gorgeous velvety cards. Plus, add a touch of flair with the special 50/50 card and its Gold Coin rule.
  • UNO Party! Mania™ DLC: For those craving chaos, UNO Party! Mania™ introduces 3 thrilling new action cards: the Point Taken, Wild Drawn Together, and Wild Pile Up cards. Brace yourself for bursts of laughter, nail-biting tension, and epic comebacks.
  • UNO™ Valhalla DLC: Play like a Viking, inspired by the world of Assassin’s Creed® Valhalla. UNO™ The Call of Yara DLC: Join the revolution in The Call of Yara, based upon the unique world of Far Cry® 6.
  • UNO™ Fenyx’s Quest DLC: Play an action-packed game mode featuring characters from Immortals Fenyx Rising™.
  • Further themes – Just Dance, Rayman, Winter

Which version is best for you?

Sold? If you don’t have UNO in your games library then these two options should well appeal, but which of them is right for you? We reckon that Ultimate edition should be bagged asap.

You’ll find the Xbox Store links above, but these packs should also be present on the stores of PlayStation, PC and Nintendo Switch too.
