If there was one game that really caused a stir upon first release in 2019, then it would have been the cleverly titled Untitled Goose Game. And now, just as the year reaches a conclusion, we see that damn goose rock up onto Xbox One and PS4 – with a glorious Xbox Game Pass debut for good measure.
Previously having released on Nintendo Switch, Untitled Goose Game burst onto the gaming scene to some rapturous applause, gathering gamers of all ages onto Nintendo’s system all in order for them to play out life as a goose. A horrible goose at that.
Priced up at £16.74, or available as a free title for those with an Xbox Game Pass subscription, Untitled Goose Game sees you play out proceedings as a goose who has been let loose on a quaint little village. From there it is up to you to waddle around annoying people, stealing their stuff, and becoming a bit of a pest.
Running as a slapstick stealth sandbox experience, Untitled Goose Game is one of those titles that just grabs you from the word go, and even though the visual style may not be stunning, and the depth may not be massive, the fun and enjoyment you can have from becoming a goose is second to none. And besides, making the use of a dedicated honk button is something you should never pass up.
Whether you’ve played Untitled Goose Game previously on Nintendo Switch, or are up for experiencing the unique nature of this goose-fuelled rampage on Xbox One or PS4 for the first time, this is one game you won’t want to miss. Make sure you get over to your favoured digital store and nab a download immediately. With the Xbox Store providing host to both the standard purchase, and the Xbox Game Pass download, you’ve got absolutely no excuse to not become a goose, and attempt to become hated.
We’ll have a full review of Untitled Goose Game on Xbox One for you real soon. Keep an eye out for it but in the meantime drop into the comments and let us know how your goose life goes. If it turns out to be anywhere near as good as the other recent Xbox Game Pass launch in My Friend Pedro, it’s going to be very good indeed.
Untitled Goose Game is a slapstick-stealth-sandbox, where you are a goose let loose on an unsuspecting village.
