Developed by those at Smartly Dressed Games, with 505 Games behind the publishing rights, UNTURNED has taken the Steam world by storm, grabbing thousands of very positive reviews since launch back in 2017. Now though it’s time for Xbox One and PS4 players to enjoy the sandbox survivor. The question is, do you have what it takes to forge alliances among the living, in order to survive the undead?

Available to purchase and download on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PS4, UNTURNED hits console with a fully redesigned camera system, enhanced physics and visuals and controls which have been put in place to ease the fears of console owners.

Priced at £19.99, UNTURNED will see you taking on the role of a survivor, left to work their way through a huge sandbox world that is full of the undead. The zombie-infested world that awaits will see all manner of danger crop up, but by persevering and scavenging, you should well be able to find it within yourself to push back the force of the undead.  There are many things to keep an eye on in UNTURNED but amongst the most important are those of health (food and water will sort you out here), and radiation levels (food and water probably won’t help with that). You see, getting whacked by a zombie or wandering aimlessly into a deadzone will see your health take a big old hit. Make sure you take protection yeah? A hazmat suit should sort you out.

With 8 sandbox maps to work through, plenty of crafting opportunities, the chance to power up your skills and to roll with a ton of customisation, UNTURNED looks set to be able to provide a pretty fun little survival sandbox experience. Throw in private servers for you and your mates, or public ones that allow in the whole community, and things get better still.

Features include:

  • • Massive maps – explore up to 8 sandbox maps by traveling by land, air, and sea
  • • Craft – create your equipment and structures from supplies you collect
  • • Power up – upgrade skills in three categories: Offense, Defense, Support
  • • Customize – avatars can be fully cosmetically personalized
  • • Multiplayer – brave zombies and other foes alone or team up with friends
  • • Compete or ally – attempt to form alliances with other players or take out all competition

Our full review of UNTURNED on Xbox One and PS4 will be coming your way soon, but if that multitude of Steam reviews sells this one as a day one purchase, get over to the Xbox Store and PlayStation Store. You’ll find the game fully playable on Xbox Series X|S too.

Game Description:

I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
