Available for ÂŁ4.19 with Xbox Play Anywhere support included, this latest release from YAW Studios combines memory-based puzzle solving with hand-painted nature artwork, creating an experience designed as much for relaxation as it is for testing your brainpower.

A Puzzle Game Built Around Mindfulness

Across 35 handcrafted levels, players are challenged to memorise simple rules and apply them using geometric shapes and logical deduction. The focus is on short-term memory and observation rather than lightning-fast reactions, creating a puzzle experience that encourages patience instead of panic.

Importantly, the game also includes systems designed to keep frustration to a minimum. A rule history feature allows players to revisit previously learned mechanics, while an optional hint system can help reveal solutions when a particular challenge proves a little too stubborn.

Each completed puzzle unlocks detailed illustrations inspired by the natural world, turning progression into a visual reward rather than simply another tick on a level-select screen. Combined with soft colours, a peaceful soundtrack and an absence of timers or penalties, the entire experience appears designed around creating a sense of calm.

Building On A Growing Series

Xbox players may already be familiar with the Hidden Memory formula.

Earlier this year, YAW Studios released Hidden Memory – Neko’s Life, a similarly relaxed puzzle experience that followed the story of a stray kitten. We covered that launch when it arrived on Xbox, and now Nature shifts the focus from feline adventures to scenic landscapes and environmental artwork.

For those who missed that previous release, there’s also a new Hidden Memory: Cats & Nature Bundle available, bringing both games together in a single package.

Hidden Memory – Nature is available now on Xbox Series X|S and PC through Play Anywhere for ÂŁ4.19. If you’re searching for a puzzle game that prioritises peace and quiet over pressure and competition, this may be worth adding to your collection.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
