Here we are again at the start of another month, and yet again Xbox One and 360 developers have not failed to deliver with a decent, albeit small, roster of games.
It might not be as busy as previous months, but have a read on to find out which Xbox One and Xbox 360 retail games you will be playing in April.
Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin:
Get ready to rip your hair out again because From Software and Bandai Namco are releasing Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin on the 2nd April.
Scholar of the First Sin jams together the original infuriatingly difficult Dark Souls II, all its DLC, an extended story and even tougher enemies to top off your meal of darkness. It can be purchased on Xbox One and Xbox 360 so be afraid…be very afraid!
Why Should You Buy It? You can only call yourself a gamer when you have suffered from the hands of Dark Souls so this special edition of the game should be perfect.
Ride:
Set to originally release last month, Ride is Forza for motorbike fans, with an in depth customisation mechanic for over 100 bikes, different categories of bikes to pick from and around 20 tracks. Ride has licences from 14 motorcycle companies and various online multiplayer modes to try out.
Start your engines on the 10th when Ride comes out for Xbox One and 360.
Why Should You Buy It? There is a huge gap in the market for a proper motorcycle game and Ride looks to be the best bet of filling it.
Mortal Kombat X:
In the following weeks you should be hearing some “Oohs” and “Aahs”. This is not because it is July 4th or November 5th but the 14th April. And those “Oohs” and “Aahs” are coming from the mouths of those playing Mortal Kombat X, the newest blood fest from NetherRealm Studios. Yes, lots of games have nice graphics, but does that game allow you to pick a character from an extended roster and then proceed to crack somebodies skull open or incinerate your opponents body, leaving their helpless heart dangling by a thread while simultaneously gauging their eyeballs out?
Thought not.
The tenth Kombat game has it all while still retaining that classic 1v1 fighter feel. You can also now throw people into environmental backdrop objects (something borrowed by NetherRealm’s Injustice: Gods Among Us).
Why Should You Buy It? Everybody wants to just have fun fighting their friends but this game is not just combat…this is Mortal Kombat.
So, April is a bit of a quiet month in terms of full physical releases but we’ll no doubt be treated to many digital only titles over the next few weeks. Let us know what you’ll be picking up in the comments below.
