A release of the 2015 mobile game, now on consoles, the Knights of Pen and Paper return for their second outing in under a year on Xbox One with Knights of Pen and Paper 2 Deluxiest Edition.
Knights of Pen and Paper 2 follows a team of up to 5 adventurers all found to be playing a tabletop RPG complete with dungeon master; think Dungeons and Dragons and all imitations of that. The action that unfolds on the screen is a turn-based RPG with a healthy dose of humour thrown in for good measure.
After seeing the original Knights of Pen and Paper release earlier in 2018, this time though they return to defend Paperos, and now, armed with a second edition rule book, must encounter all manner of monsters that roam this world. From cubic jelly to turtles wearing appropriately coloured eye masks, from frost elves to bear/chicken hybrids known as fowlbears, Paperos is a world teeming with undesirables.
The game brings with it several improvements over the first including crafting, grinding areas, investigations and many more in-game jokes and banter between the characters. Knights of Pen and Paper 2 Deluxiest Edition on Xbox One will have you thinking about your next move whilst still harking back to the joke made a minute ago, offering just the right blend.
It has also had a facelift from the first game, transferring over from the 8-bit era to the 16-bit.
The Deluxiest Edition that comes to Xbox One also includes all previous DLC that was released on mobiles, all rolled up into one complete package.
