Dora Rainforest Rescue – coming this October

The world’s greatest explorer is grabbing her backpack for a brand-new interactive adventure – Dora: Rainforest Rescue.

Outright Games, in partnership with Paramount, has officially announced Dora: Rainforest Rescue, a new puzzle-solving platformer based on the hit CG-animated DORA series.

The game is set to launch on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC on October 24th 2025.

A New Rainforest Adventure

Arriving during the franchise’s landmark 25th anniversary year, this new title invites players of all ages to join Dora and Boots on their most important mission yet, blending classic adventure with the bilingual, educational fun the series is known for.

Swiper has been swiping again, but this time he’s gone too far! In Dora: Rainforest Rescue, players must embark on an exciting journey to stop Swiper’s latest scheme and restore the vibrant, magical Alebrije Tree.

You’ll join Dora and her best friend Boots as they run, jump, and swing through a host of colourful environments on their quest to save the rainforest.

Gameplay: Puzzles, Platforms, and Amigos

Dora: Rainforest Rescue is designed to be an accessible and engaging experience for the whole family, with gameplay that is both fun and educational.

The core of the game is a classic puzzle-platforming adventure. Players will guide Dora and Boots through a variety of levels, collecting magical leaves and solving puzzles that will require a keen eye and a bit of problem-solving.

Learning Through Play

True to the educational roots of the beloved franchise, the game seamlessly incorporates Spanish words and phrases into the gameplay. This allows kids to learn new vocabulary in a fun, interactive, and rewarding way as they help Dora on her quest.

You don’t have to explore alone! The game features a 2-player local co-op mode, allowing parents and children to play and learn together. Throughout the adventure, you will also encounter many fan-favourite characters, including Tico the squirrel, Isa the iguana, Benny the bull, and the Big Red Chicken, who will all be there to help you save the day.

A Global Phenomenon Continues

For 25 years, Dora the Explorer has been a global pop-culture phenomenon, crossing social and language boundaries to become a hero and a friend to millions of children around the world. This new game continues that legacy, translating the spirit of the series into an interactive format.

We’re thrilled to introduce a new generation to Dora’s world through this interactive adventure,” said Stephanie Malham, Managing Director of Outright Games. “The new CG-animated series laid the perfect foundation for creating a game that captures Dora’s spirit of exploration, problem- solving, and bilingual education in a format the whole family can enjoy together.

The map is set for an exciting new quest this autumn. Join Dora and Boots in Dora: Rainforest Rescue when it launches on Xbox and other platforms on October 24th, 2025.

An Xbox gamer since 2002, I bought the big black box just to play Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee. I have since loved every second of the 360's life and am now just as obsessed with the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S - mostly with the brilliant indie scene that has come to the fore.
