You may remember young detective Vera Blanc from her other outing on console, Vera Blanc: Full Moon, which involved tracking down a werewolf. Well, she’s back for another visual novel extravaganza in the form of Vera Blanc: Ghost In The Castle, courtesy of Ratalaika Games and Winter Wolves Games. Are you ready to uncover a ghostly mystery on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PlayStation 4?

The intriguing visual novel series continues as our Vera teams up with paranormal detective Brandon Mackey once more. She’s no ordinary woman, in fact, her mind reading powers ensures she’s extraordinary and ideal for investigating mysteries. Vera Blanc: Ghost In The Castle sees you immersed in supernatural goings on that have been occurring within a small Italian village. A number of murders and suicides all seem to be connected to the legendary ghost, which apparently resides in the local castle. Is the castle’s ghost real, and is it really to blame for all of the death?

As a visual novel, you can expect to venture towards multiple possible endings by taking one of several different paths. There are over 200 unique panels to peruse, each presenting comic book style artwork. While Vera Blanc: Ghost In The Castle is a narrative-driven affair, it also features a selection of challenging – but optional – mini-games.

Should you wish to solve the mystery of Vera Blanc: Ghost In The Castle, it won’t take much detective work to figure out how to add it to your gaming library. You’ll be able to buy it from the Xbox Store right now for £4.99 – on sale for two weeks at £3.99 – while it’s also available via the PS Store. It’s coming to Nintendo Switch this week too, so keep an eye out for that arrival on 29th January!
