Viewfinder on Xbox, the latest release from Sad Owl Studios and Thunderful Publishing, comes more from the Superliminal school of thought, making use of perspective to allow you to transform the world around you.
The key system at play here involves an instant camera, and the fact that whatever you take a picture of can be transplanted into your own world. For example, take a picture of a door, and you’ll be able to add said door into your own world in order to pass through what was a previously impenetrable wall.
This is just a most basic example, and soon Viewfinder becomes incredibly mind-bending, involving paintings, sketches, screenshots and more. Whether you decide to push through the game to see all the puzzles as quickly as possible, or wish to go off the beaten path and explore the world of Viewfinder, this incredibly clever system is sure to satisfy.
