Airheart – Tales of Broken Wings will not have you meticulously managing your own ultra-realistic airplane, nor will it play out in monotone skylines. Playing as a young pilot and fisherwoman known as Amelia in the flying city of Granaria, you will have to get twin-sticking if you wish to take down each enemy. See, whilst Amelia just wants to indulge in a spot of sky-fishing, when the pirates show up you simply have to show them who’s boss!
With over 40 craftable weapon and vehicle parts to use on an ever-changing and customizable vehicle, as well as a harpoon for dragging and destroying your enemies across the map, there will be a variety of methods needed in order to dismantle each enemy, especially when you come up against the trickier of bosses.
In between periods of fighting against a multitude of foes, traversing the open environments in order to hunt down the flying fish that Amelia wants will also be on the agenda. Your harpoon will again come in key here when gunning for the largest of fish.
Fishing, flying and twin stick shooting may not be the most well known combination of genres but Airheart certainly seems to have intertwined them well.
