We’ve known for a little while that The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series – A New Frontier would be releasing come Dec 20th, but now Telltale have announced that it’ll be dropping as an epic two parter. Want to get all the details and take an extended look?
A New Frontier is  Telltale’s latest season of The Walking Dead and it’ll release on all the usual formats come December 20th 2016. However, live on stage at The Game Awards, Telltale have announced that launch date will see two parts of the story arrive. They’ve also shown a clip of Javier, a newcomer to the series and we get to witness how the beginning of the zombie plague affected him and his family before we move forward in time to years later.
They have also confirmed that A New Frontier will act as both a new beginning for players fresh to the series and unfamiliar with Clementine, as well as a continuation for players who have experienced Seasons One and Two. If you’re a new player, then you will be able to start a story that is tailored to this new beginning. Players continuing onward from prior seasons meanwhile will have multiple options for quickly configuring their tailored backstory, or importing past save files from various platforms.
Finally, should you not be too bothered about a digital release and prefer to have a disc in your hand, then Xbox One and PS4 players will be able to grab the Season Pass Disc from Feb 14th 2017.
It’s going to be a busy old year for Telltale Games and The Walking Dead – A New Frontier looks like it’ll be right at the forefront.
