A console playtest is launching today until December 4th on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One, offering a glimpse into the intense robotic warfare that awaits in the full release, slated for early 2025. We first heard of this one back in 2022, but now release is fast approaching.
Conquer the Wild Ten
War Robots: Frontiers takes the action to the uncharted territory of the Wild Ten, a newly discovered star system where three megacorporations are locked in a power struggle.
As a mercenary Robot Pilot, you’ll join the fray, piloting powerful mechs and battling for control of this valuable territory. But will it have enough to go up against MechWarror 5: Clans?
Customise Your War Machines
Assemble a garage of five destructive mechs, each customisable with a vast array of parts, weapons, and modules. Choose from over 60 Robot Parts, 20 weapons, and 3 Titan Heavy Mechs to create a war machine that suits your playstyle.
Equip your mech with special modules that grant abilities like smoke screens, missiles, and more, and unleash devastating attacks on your opponents.
Playtest Modes and Maps
The Console Playtest features three diverse maps:
- Catalyst: A fiery refinery where close-quarters combat and strategic positioning are key.
- Fissure: A towering industrial complex with verticality and long-range engagements.
- Spectrum: A sprawling cityscape with a mix of open areas and tight corridors.
Three game modes are also available:
- Warp Rush: Capture strategic points on the map and dominate the objective.
- Team Deathmatch: The classic team-based deathmatch where the team with the most kills wins.
- Last Robot Standing: A high-stakes elimination mode where survival is paramount.
