PQube are on a bit of a roll and after the announcement of Inertial Drift, comes news that a new turn-based tactics title is fast approaching, with Warborn set to launch next spring.

Coming about via a collaboration between PQube and the development team at Raredrop Games, Warborn will be found hitting Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC in Spring 2020, giving us the chance to join command a mecha strike force and join one of the four unique factions before taking on the fight for control with 90’s Japanese animation inspired mechas.

If you’re up for going head-to-head in close-up battle cutscenes, then Warborn looks set to sort you right out, allowing you the opportunity to assemble and command an army of elite units wearing technologically advanced suits of war, otherwise known as Variable Armour. You’ll be able to observe from a top down view of the various maps made up of different hexagonal terrain tiles, before calling the shots and watching the action unfold in dynamic mid-combat cutscenes!

There will be a variety of game modes included in Warborn too, with a full campaign mode letting you experience the story behind each of the four factions in a number of exciting missions. You’ll also be able to partake in a Skirmish mode, or found practising your tactics against AI opponents with adjustable difficulty

Further still, online multiplayer will also be in place, giving the chance to face-off against players from all over the world in either some Competitive or Casual online matches. And more still, Warborn will let you work wonders with a deep Map Editor, with the hexagonal layout of Warborn’s maps making for a very accessible Map Editor that let’s you get creative yourself!

Should you be at EGX this week then Warborn will be in place and part of PQube’s lineup. Make sure you check it out and we will of course keep you fully updated in regards the development process ahead of launch in the Spring on Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC.
