Focus Entertainment and Saber Interactive have deployed the massive new Trygon update for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2.
Available right now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, this update delivers a terrifying new boss in a free PvE mission, adds a new weapon, brings significant quality-of-life improvements, and is accompanied by two new paid cosmetic DLC packs honouring the Imperial Fists and Space Wolves chapters.
Face the Mighty Trygon (Free Update)
The centrepiece of the free update is a tense new PvE mission that challenges players like never before:
- New PvE Mission – “Exfiltration”: Drop back onto the windswept world of Avarax for a desperate new assignment.
- New Boss – The Trygon: Face off against this towering Tyranid bioform. Renowned for its terrifying guerrilla tactics, the Trygon burrows beneath defenses to ambush its prey. Prepare for a fight where nowhere feels safe!
- New Weapon – Inferno Pistol: Bring the heat with this potent, short-range melta secondary weapon, free for all players to unlock and wield.
- Quality of Life Improvements: The update also includes several enhancements based on player feedback:Prestige Ranks & Rewards: Progress beyond the initial level cap and earn new rewards.
- Weapon Perk Rework: Many weapon perks have been adjusted for better balance and utility.
- Enhanced Customisation: Change the colour of cloth, tabards, and hoods across all classes.
- Custom PvP Lobbies: The much-requested ability to create custom Eternal War matches for up to 12 players is here!
Honour Your Chapter: New Paid DLC
Alongside the free content, two new cosmetic DLC packs have arrived, allowing players to represent legendary Space Marine Chapters (these are also included for Season Pass owners):
Imperial Fists Champion Pack (£6.69):
- Show the resilience of Dorn’s sons with a unique full-body Power Armour skin for the Tactical class.
- Includes a distinct Plasma Incinerator skin featuring Imperial Fists colours and iconography.
Note: Cosmetics usable in Operations and Eternal War modes.
Space Wolves Chapter Pack (£7.99):
- Embrace the ferocity of Russ’s warriors with a Champion skin for the Vanguard class.
- Includes 3 weapon skins (Chainsword, Bolt Carbine, Thunder Hammer).
- Features over 50 unique cosmetic items and decals representing the 12 Great Companies of the Space Wolves.
Reinforcing the Front Lines
This significant update adds even more content and refinement to the visceral action of Space Marine 2.
